Spirit Care provides NDIS supports for girls and women, with a focus on social skills, life skills, confidence, mentoring, community participation and practical daily support. Their work includes both home and community-based supports, helping participants build skills, enjoy meaningful activities and work toward their goals in a safe and inclusive environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, values person-centred practice, and can bring a calm, steady approach when supporting participants with mental health needs, autism, behavioural complexities or changing day-to-day support needs.
About the role
As a Disability Support Worker with Spirit Care, your role may include:
Providing personal care and daily living support
Supporting mobility, hygiene and everyday routines
Facilitating social, community and recreational activities
Supporting participants to enjoy activities such as bowling, art, sport or community outings
Using calm, trust-building approaches when supporting participants with mental health or behavioural complexities
Maintaining accurate documentation
Contributing to person-centred support plans
Supporting participant rights, independence and personal goals
Creating a safe, inclusive and empowering support environment

Essential requirements
Applicants will need:
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or Community Services
Minimum 1 year of experience in disability or community support
NDIS Worker Screening Check, required before commencing employment
Full Australian work rights
Current Police Check
Working With Children Check
Current First Aid and CPR certificates
Experience supporting people with autism, mental health conditions or behavioural complexities
Strong communication, empathy and teamwork skills
Current driver’s licence
Reliable vehicle
Confidence with medication support, infection control and personal care tasks
